Larry recognized that the medical system requires well trained staff - not just well trained physicians. As such, he and Mia set up the Ballonoff Endowed Scholarship Fund through Saint Joseph Hospital in Denver to increase access to medical education for non-physician staff. If you are interested in making a gift in his memory, please consider making a donation to support this scholarship fund.
Donations can be made by clicking the button below which will take you to the Saint Joseph's Hospital Foundation website. When you make a donation, please select the Ballonoff Endowed Scholarship Fund from the drop down menu (see example to the right) to ensure the gift is designated to the correct fund.
Established in 2019, the Ballonoff Endowed Scholarship Fund invests in a team approach to medicine by offering scholarship support to non-physician staff employed by Saint Joseph Hospital to advance their medical education and professional development by participating in degree programs, certifications, conferences, seminars or symposiums.
The fund currently provides approximately $8,500 in scholarships each year.
